Jay W. Sprong, M.D.

Dr. Sprong has many years of experience in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. In 1974, he was appointed chief resident at Magee Womens Hospital which gave him the opportunity to work with the staff providing infertility services.  Following his residency, Dr. Sprong served in the Air Force from 1975-1977 at MacDill Air Force Base.  In 1977, he moved to Northampton and joined Hampshire Obstetrical and Gynecological Associates.  Dr. Sprong's primary interest is in general obstetrics and gynecology, with a special interest in infertility and assisted reproductive advances. His main interest has been and continues to be advocating for women's health in our community.

Outside of the office, Dr. Sprong continues to be a passionate downhill skier, having taught the sport to his three children.  He and his wife, Connie, are now passing down the family tradition to their six grandchildren. Dr. Sprong also enjoys gardening and, as a card carrying AARP member, is learning to play golf.
